Angela Evelyn Bassett (born April 15th 1960) was an American actress. Since the mid 80s she has been working in film and TV. Her work has been recognized with many awards, including 16 NAACP Image Awards. Bassett was born in New York New York and raised by an aunt in Winston-Salem North Carolina. Bassett and her sister, at the age of five old, moved from New York to St. Petersburg to live with the mother of their separated father. In high school, Bassett saw John Steinbeck's play Of Mice and Men starring James Earl Jones and decided she would like to be an actor. Yale University New Haven Connecticut, where she received her bachelor's in African American and master's degrees (1983). While at Yale she met Courtney B. Vance a actress who was a friend of hers. They got married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. degree in African-American studies in 1981. Graduate of Fine Arts from Yale School of Drama School. Jordan Park Elementary School Disston Middle School (7th grade), Azalea Middle School (8th and 9th grade), Boca Ciega High School. Angela Bassett plays Ramonda as one of the main roles in action adventure film i.e. Black Panther Wakanda forever 2022.
